Docusign (NASDAQ: DOCU) has released a new app for Slack that connects to the messaging platform through Model Context Protocol (MCP), integrating the company's Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) platform into Slack conversations.
The app, powered by Docusign's Iris AI engine, allows users to query agreement details, automate contract workflows, and take action on agreements using natural language within Slack. It draws on chat history, shared files, organizational hierarchy, and CRM data to generate responses.
Features include the ability to surface contract terms, renewal dates, and risk flags; automate approval and signature workflows; generate agreements from templates using Salesforce CRM data; and sync agreement status back to Salesforce automatically. The app also sends proactive notifications about upcoming deadlines and compliance requirements.
"Agreements are at the center of how businesses operate, but too much of the work around them still happens across disconnected tools and manual processes," said Allan Thygesen, CEO of Docusign. "By bringing Docusign IAM into Slackbot, we're helping teams access agreement intelligence, automate workflows, and take the next best action directly within the tool they use every day."
Rob Seaman, EVP and GM of Slack, said the integration gives joint customers "rapid access to agentic contract workflows directly in Slack."
The app is available in the Slack Marketplace globally in English, according to a company press release.
