Natera to present 21 studies on transplant test at ATC

Natera, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTRA) announced it will present 21 studies, including seven oral presentations, at the American Transplant Congress (ATC), scheduled for June 20-24, 2026. The presentations focus on the company's Prospera donor-derived cell-free DNA (dd-cfDNA) test for kidney, heart, lung, and multi-organ transplant monitoring.

Two studies are among the highlighted data. The PEDAL study, involving 346 kidney transplant patients with non-rejection biopsy results, found that 18.2% had positive Prospera results. Those patients showed significantly higher rates of adverse outcomes, including more than six times the rate of graft loss compared to patients with negative results.

A separate analysis from the ProActive study examined 989 kidney transplant recipients. Patients whose Prospera dd-cfDNA donor-fraction remained below 0.5% showed approximately 12 times lower odds of future rejection and approximately 5.5 times lower odds of future graft loss.

"These data reinforce the importance of using the Prospera test regularly as a non-invasive way to monitor patients and help guide care decisions that may support longer graft life and better outcomes."

The presentations span topics including rejection subtype prediction using machine learning, genetic testing in living kidney donor candidates, and dd-cfDNA monitoring following pancreas and multi-organ transplantation. According to the press release, the data were generated in collaboration with external researchers and clinical study partners.
