Ericsson names David Hammarwall head of networks unit
Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) has appointed David Hammarwall as Head of Business Area Networks and Senior Vice President, effective October 1, 2026. Hammarwall will also join Ericsson's Executive Team, reporting directly to the CEO.
Hammarwall currently serves as Head of Customer Unit T-Mobile in Market Area Americas, a role he has held since 2023. He will succeed Per Narvinger, who is set to become President and CEO of Ericsson on the same date. Hammarwall will be based in Stockholm, Sweden.
Hammarwall joined Ericsson in 2007 and holds a PhD in telecommunications from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. His previous roles at the company include Head of Product Area Networks, Head of Product Line Radio, and Head of Product Line 5G RAN.
