Yext opens platform to AI tools via MCP and API for marketing teams

June 17, 2026 9:04 AM EDT

Yext, Inc. (NYSE: YEXT) announced that its full marketing platform is now accessible to enterprise AI workflows through MCP, API, desktop, and mobile interfaces, according to a company statement.

The platform combines three components: Scout, a competitive intelligence tool that scans AI and traditional search for market signals; the Yext Knowledge Graph, a structured brand data repository; and a distribution network connecting to more than 200 listing publishers, review sites, and social platforms.

Yext's Chief Data Officer Christian Ward cited the platform's data coverage in the announcement: "10 billion signals analyzed, 150 visibility metrics per location, 20 local competitors tracked for every target business across four AI models, and coverage spanning 12 million business locations across 186 countries – with more than one million new locations added every month."

The company also introduced several new features within its Scout interface. Ask Scout is a conversational tool that allows marketing teams to query local competitive data in plain language. Win Rate is a new metric that measures how often a brand outranks competitors across AI and traditional search. Action Center, currently in beta with 88 brands, surfaces prioritized fixes across listings, reviews, and social content, with the company reporting that beta users have completed over one million actions, saving more than 9,000 hours.

CEO Mike Walrath said in the statement: "Agents without competitive intelligence don't improve outcomes – they automate mediocrity."

Yext MCP, Ask Scout, and Win Rate are available to paying Scout customers as of June 17. Action Center is available by request for eligible customers.
