Klarna (NYSE: KLAR) has partnered with shared mobility platform Bolt to integrate Klarna's payment options into the Bolt app across Sweden, Germany, Finland, and Norway, according to a press release from Klarna.
Users in those markets can pay for car rides and scooters through Klarna, with car rentals also available in Germany. The integration uses tokenized payments, allowing customers to pay using stored credentials without re-entering details for each trip. Customers can choose to pay in full or pay monthly.
The rollout is underway, with full availability across all four markets expected by the end of June 2026.
Bolt serves more than 200 million customers across over 50 countries. Klarna reports more than 119 million active users worldwide and approximately 3.4 million transactions per day.
"Bolt is where millions of people in our markets decide how to get around each day, and that is exactly where Klarna wants to be," said Björn Bryngelson, Head of Nordics at Klarna.
"By adding Klarna, we're giving our customers another convenient way to pay for the transport services they use most often," said Kaspar Loog, Commerce and Payments Group Product Manager at Bolt.
