June 16, 2026 1:12 PM EDT

Qualcomm Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: QCOM) announced the Snapdragon Scalable Turnkey AI-Ready Toolkit, or Snapdragon START, a program aimed at helping brands develop and bring personal AI devices, beginning with smart glasses, to market.

The program centers on hardware modules built on Snapdragon platforms that combine compute, connectivity, and AI capabilities in a compact, wearable form factor. The modules are paired with a software stack designed to connect devices with companion smartphone apps and cloud services to support hybrid AI experiences.

Qualcomm announced the program at Augmented World Expo. Inspecs, the global eyewear company behind licensed brands including Barbour, CAT, Superdry, and O'Neill, as well as the premium brand TitanFlex, is the first company to collaborate exclusively with Qualcomm Technologies under the program.

Snapdragon START is also supported by a group of technology and manufacturing partners, including Applied Materials, Avegant, Jorjin, Pegatron, and Thundercomm.

"Snapdragon START establishes the foundation that makes it easier for brands and organizations to bring these devices to market, expanding access to agentic capabilities to more consumers," said Ziad Asghar, Senior Vice President and General Manager of XR, Wearables and Personal AI at Qualcomm Technologies.
