VWAV files provisional patent for AI defense coordination system

VisionWave Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: VWAV) filed a U.S. provisional patent application on June 4, 2026, covering an AI architecture called SDNN™, or Symbiotic Deep Neural Network, according to a statement from the West Hollywood, Calif.-based company. The application, assigned USPTO Application No. 64/082,410, includes a 455-page specification and 23 engineering drawings. The company also filed a U.S. trademark application for the SDNN™ name.

The architecture is described as a coordination and reasoning layer for networks of distributed autonomous systems, targeting applications in counter-UAS, missile-detection decision support, multi-robot coordination, smart-city operations, and spacecraft management. A core component, internally code-named "Mother," is intended to serve as a unified reasoning layer for fleets of distributed machines.

Danny Rittman, the architecture's inventor and chief technology architect, described the goal as a system that can "fuse information, reason across an operational picture, coordinate networked nodes, and learn from each mission cycle, while preserving human authority over consequential decisions." CEO Douglas Davis called the filing "an important milestone in VisionWave's intellectual property strategy."

A provisional patent application establishes a priority date but expires unless a non-provisional application is filed within 12 months. There is no guarantee a patent will be issued or that claims will be granted as described.

The filing follows other recent transactions by the company. In April 2026, VWAV acquired the xClibre™ AI video-intelligence IP portfolio, independently valued at approximately $60 million by BDO. On June 9, 2026, the company announced a definitive agreement to acquire approximately 52% of Foresight Autonomous Holdings Ltd. in exchange for $17.5 million in VWAV common stock.

The company has stated it has not generated revenue from the SDNN™ architecture and is at an early stage of development. Commercialization would require additional capital, regulatory approvals, technology integration, and the securing of defense or commercial contracts.
