Cincinnati Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: CINF) announced that John S. Kellington, chief information officer and executive vice president of its subsidiary The Cincinnati Insurance Company, will retire on August 7.
Kellington joined the company in 2010 and held the CIO role for 16 years. Ryan M. Osborn, vice president of Information Technology, will assume executive responsibility for the company's information technology teams. Osborn has been with Cincinnati Insurance since 2000.
Stephen M. Spray, president and chief executive officer, said: "John led an outstanding transformation of our IT organization, and I'm grateful for the energy and dedication he's given to Cincinnati Insurance over the past 16 years."
Spray added of Osborn: "Ryan's experience in laying the groundwork for many of our project management and architecture standards make him the ideal candidate to drive the next evolution of our technology teams."
The company said Kellington and Osborn will work through a succession planning process together to ensure continuity on key IT projects already underway.
