Fervo Energy (NASDAQ: FRVO) announced the promotion of Sarah Jewett to chief operating officer. Jewett will oversee the geothermal company's core corporate operations as it expands its commercial deployment.
Jewett joined Fervo Energy in 2020 to lead the strategy department and has been with the company for six years. She previously worked in corporate development and strategic initiatives at Select Energy Services and spent time managing hydraulic fracturing crews for Schlumberger in various U.S. locations including the Permian Basin and Alaska's North Slope.
"What Sarah has built over the last six years has been foundational to the company's success," said Tim Latimer, CEO and co-founder of Fervo Energy. "As we move into the next phase of our growth, there is no better person to lead the operating core of this company."
The promotion comes as Fervo accelerates deployment of its GeoBlock and GeoCluster enhanced geothermal systems development model. The company states it has a growing project pipeline that includes utility offtake, AI hyperscaler demand, and industrial power applications.
Jewett holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Dartmouth College. Her new role will involve coordinating operations across supply chain, land acquisition, permitting, policy, and personnel as the company scales its geothermal energy projects.
The appointment reflects Fervo's expansion in the enhanced geothermal systems sector, which the company positions as a solution for clean, reliable power generation to meet growing electricity demand from data centers and other industrial applications.
