Wendy's Co. (NASDAQ: WEN) appointed Aaron Kale as chief accounting officer and vice president of tax, effective June 8, 2026, according to a company statement.
Kale, 49, replaces Suzanne Thuerk, who resigned to pursue opportunities outside the restaurant industry. Thuerk will remain with the company in a non-executive capacity until July 10, 2026, to support the transition.
Kale has served as vice president of tax since April 2019 and has been providing interim support to the company's accounting function since July 2025. He joined Wendy's in July 2012, holding various director-level positions in tax compliance and international tax matters.
Before joining Wendy's, Kale worked in tax positions at L Brands Inc. and in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. He is a certified public accountant.
