VEON names Serkan Ozturk as chief of staff and strategy officer

VEON Ltd. (NASDAQ: VEON) appointed Serkan Ozturk as Chief of Staff & Strategy Officer, effective June 9, 2026, the digital operator announced.

Ozturk will join VEON's leadership team and report directly to Group Chief Executive Officer Kaan Terzioglu. His responsibilities include translating the company's strategic plans into execution, ensuring alignment across functions, and coordinating priority group initiatives.

Ozturk joined VEON in November 2025 as Group Director, Mergers & Acquisitions, where he supported the company's strategic and investment agenda. Before joining VEON, he served as Group CIO at Dias Teknoloji and spent 24 years at Turkcell, including eight years as Group CIO, leading technology transformation programs.

"Strengthening our leadership team reflects our continued focus on execution and delivery against our strategic priorities," Terzioglu said. "Serkan brings deep experience in strategy, transformation and operational execution, and I look forward to working with him as we continue to advance our growth agenda."

Ozturk said he was "delighted to take on this role at an important time for VEON" and looked forward to supporting the execution of the group's strategy.
