Investing.com - William Blair notes that Blue Origin's expected return to launch operations this year benefits AST SpaceMobile and Karman following last week's explosion on the New Glenn launchpad. Blue Origin founder Jeff Bezos posted on X yesterday that a solid path forward exists for the company to launch again in 2026.
AST SpaceMobile (NASDAQ: ASTS) depends on New Glenn as its main launch supplier. The company announced at William Blair's 46th Annual Growth Stock Conference this week that it still expects to launch its beta direct-to-device service later this year with a commercial service launch in the first half of 2027. AST also announced it was authorized for 10x10 spectrum usage in Brazil.
Karman (NYSE: KRMN) provides Blue Origin's New Glenn launch system with proprietary products including aerodynamics interstage assemblies, large metal-formed structural assemblies, and panel protection systems. William Blair estimates that New Glenn represents a 5% platform for Karman.
Karman CEO Jon Rambeau said yesterday at the Growth Stock Conference that the company's space segment growth should be unaffected by the Blue Origin mishap. Rambeau indicated that Karman already has greater than 90% visibility to hit the midpoint of its full-year revenue guidance for 25% organic growth.
Blue Origin CEO David Limp expressed optimism earlier in the week about the company's launch schedule following the New Glenn launchpad explosion.
