Eledon to present islet transplant trial data at diabetes conference

Eledon Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: ELDN) announced that updated results from an investigator-initiated trial of its drug tegoprubart will be presented at the American Diabetes Association's 86th Scientific Sessions on June 7, 2026, in New Orleans.

The presentation will be delivered by Piotr Witkowski, M.D., Ph.D., Director of the Pancreas and Islet Transplant Program at UChicago Medicine, who is conducting the trial at the University of Chicago Medicine Transplant Institute. The study examines tegoprubart's use in islet transplantation for patients with Type 1 diabetes.

The oral presentation, titled "Anti-CD40L to Induce Graft Survival and Function in Islet Allotransplantation," is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. CT on Sunday, June 7, as part of the "Immune Modulatory Strategies for Next-Generation Cell Therapies" session.

Tegoprubart is an anti-CD40L antibody designed to target the CD40 Ligand, which plays a role in immune cell activation. The company is conducting studies of the drug in various transplantation applications including kidney, liver, and islet cell transplantation, as well as in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
