Liquid Mercury selects BitGo as crypto custody provider

June 3, 2026 8:03 AM EDT

Liquid Mercury LLC has selected BitGo Inc. and BitGo Bank & Trust to serve as its crypto-as-a-service provider across all products, according to a company statement. BitGo (NYSE: BTGO) will provide qualified custody and regulatory compliance for Liquid Mercury's digital asset trading platforms.

The partnership expands an existing technical relationship between the companies. BitGo's infrastructure will support Liquid Mercury's product suite, including Mercury Pro for professional trading, Mercury OTC for over-the-counter transactions, and Mercury RWA for tokenized real-world assets.

BitGo's services include multi-signature cold storage, insurance coverage up to $250 million, and compliance frameworks. The company operates BitGo Bank & Trust, National Association, which is regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.

"As we continue to scale our platform and onboard sophisticated institutional participants, custody is not just a feature, it's foundational," said Tony Saliba, CEO of Liquid Mercury. "BitGo's track record in securing digital assets at scale, combined with their regulatory standing and advanced technology, made this a clear choice."

Chen Fang, Chief Revenue Officer at BitGo, said the partnership combines Liquid Mercury's trading technology with BitGo's custody infrastructure to provide qualified custody and OCC-regulated compliance for clients.

The integration allows traders on Mercury Pro to settle transactions directly into BitGo custody, while OTC brokers using Mercury OTC can settle high-volume transactions into the regulated custody infrastructure. The Mercury RWA platform will use BitGo's infrastructure for issuing and managing tokenized assets.

The integration is effective immediately for all current and prospective Liquid Mercury clients. Liquid Mercury was founded by trader Tony Saliba and provides trading infrastructure for institutional clients.
