Advanced Energy Industries Inc. (NASDAQ: AEIS) announced the release of its ADH series DC-DC converters designed for 800V DC AI data center power architecture. The converters convert 800V DC input to 50V DC output with peak power efficiency of 98.2%.
The ADH series delivers up to 8 kW peak power and 6 kW full load power in a standard half-brick package, achieving peak power density of over 2,700 W/In3 and full load power density of over 2,000 W/In3. The converters operate at multi-MHz switching frequency.
"Working in close collaboration with several leading customers, we have developed and delivered samples of the ADH converters and plan to expand the portfolio with additional power levels and form factors," said David Richmond, Advanced Energy's senior vice president of high-volume products.
The converters feature advanced liquid-cooled baseplates for thermal management and include safety insulation for hazardous input voltage levels. The standard form factor allows modules to connect in parallel for power scaling.
Advanced Energy combines the ADH series with its NDQ series of 50V DC to 12V DC non-isolated bus converters and a Hot Swap Control module to create complete 800V DC power solutions for megawatt-capable AI server racks.
The Denver-based company specializes in precision power conversion, measurement and control solutions for semiconductor equipment, industrial production, medical applications, data center computing, networking and telecommunications markets.
