Currenc Group names Kelly Leung as venture partner for Web3 and AI growth

Currenc Group Inc. (NASDAQ: CURR) appointed Kelly Leung as venture partner to support the company's expansion in Web3, artificial intelligence infrastructure, and digital asset markets, according to a company statement.

Leung will advise Currenc's board and executive leadership on strategic partnerships, partner network expansion, and platform adoption initiatives across Web3, AI, and digital asset sectors. The appointment is effective immediately.

Leung brings 25 years of experience in global strategic alliances and cross-border business development. She currently serves as co-founder of ChainFoundry Group, an alternative asset investment platform focused on tokenization and Web3 strategy for enterprises.

Her previous roles include vice president of strategic alliances and board member at Animoca Brands KK (Japan), and chief strategy officer at MADworld, where she supported strategic partnerships and international business expansion across Asia and global markets.

"Kelly's experience across Web3 ecosystems, strategic partnerships, and international markets will support Currenc's continued expansion across AI infrastructure and digital asset initiatives," said Alex Kong, executive chairman and chief executive officer of Currenc.

As venture partner, Leung will focus on supporting strategic partnerships, expanding institutional and enterprise relationships across global markets, advising on Web3 and AI growth opportunities, and supporting corporate development initiatives.

Currenc operates as a fintech company providing AI solutions to financial institutions, including AI call center technology and digital remittance platforms. The company serves banks, insurance companies, telecommunications firms, government agencies, and other enterprises.
