Tempus AI Inc. (NASDAQ: TEM) announced an upgrade to its Tempus Hub physician platform, integrating advanced generative artificial intelligence capabilities to assist healthcare providers with clinical workflows.
The upgrade introduces what the company describes as "agentic AI" functionality that connects with real-time patient data within the Hub environment. The platform serves thousands of oncologists and care teams by providing access to test orders, results, and treatment insights.
New features include AI-generated patient genomic overviews that integrate with Tempus genomic results, automated generation of patient-specific documentation such as prior authorizations and patient messages, and planned future connections to Tempus' patient registry and health information exchange data.
The enhancements build on Tempus' existing infrastructure components: Edge for real-time electronic health record connectivity, Locker for secure data storage, and Air for AI model deployment at the point of care.
"Our evolution toward an agent-first experience within the Tempus Hub represents a massive win for clinical workflow efficiency," said Shane Colley, Chief Technology Officer at Tempus. "By bringing our most sophisticated co-pilot intelligence directly into the Hub, we are unlocking the true power of multimodal data to provide seamless, on-demand decision support that meets providers exactly where they are."
Tempus operates as a technology company focused on precision medicine through artificial intelligence applications in healthcare. The company maintains what it describes as one of the world's largest libraries of multimodal medical data.
The information is based on a company press release statement.
