Cohen & Steers Inc. (NYSE: CNS) appointed Amit Muni as executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective June 8, 2026, according to a company statement.
Muni will oversee the investment management firm's financial operations, financial strategy and investor relations. He will join the executive committee and report to Chief Executive Officer Joseph Harvey.
The appointment follows Muni's tenure as chief financial officer at CI Financial Corp., a Canadian wealth and asset management firm with more than $550 billion in assets under management. Before joining CI Financial in 2021, he served as CFO at WisdomTree Inc.
Muni replaces Michael Donohue, who has served as interim chief financial officer since October 17, 2025. Donohue will continue as interim CFO until June 8, 2026, then return to his role as controller.
"Amit brings more than two decades of leadership across public markets, asset and wealth management, and capital markets," Harvey stated in the release.
Muni's career includes senior finance and accounting positions at International Securities Exchange, Instinet Group, PricewaterhouseCoopers and National Securities Clearing Corporation.
Cohen & Steers, founded in 1986, specializes in real assets and alternative income investments, including real estate, infrastructure and commodities. The New York-based firm operates offices in London, Dublin, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Singapore.
