Trump Media withdraws Truth Social bitcoin and ethereum ETF filing
Trump Media & Technology Group (NASDAQ: DJT) has filed a request with the Securities and Exchange Commission to withdraw its registration statement for a Truth Social Bitcoin & Ethereum ETF.
The company submitted the withdrawal request on Tuesday for the registration statement originally filed on June 16, 2025, under file number 333-288064. The filing indicates the company has decided not to pursue the public offering at this time.
According to the SEC filing, the registration statement was never declared effective by the commission and no securities were sold under the proposed offering. The company stated that withdrawing the registration is "consistent with the public interest and the protection of investors."
Truth Social Bitcoin & Ethereum ETF, B.T. also requested that all fees paid to the SEC in connection with the original filing be credited for future use, in accordance with SEC rules.
The withdrawal request was signed by Troy Rillo, manager and chief executive officer of Yorkville America Digital, LLC, which serves as the sponsor of the proposed ETF. Legal counsel for the matter is being handled by Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP.
The filing represents a formal end to the company's attempt to launch a cryptocurrency exchange-traded fund combining bitcoin and ethereum exposure under the Truth Social brand.
