Investing.com -- Doug Ostrover, the billionaire co-founder of Blue Owl Capital Inc. (NYSE: OWL), is selling his stake in the NFL's Washington Commanders back to the Josh Harris-led ownership group, according to Bloomberg News, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
The move comes three years after Ostrover joined a consortium that paid more than $6 billion for the team in 2023, the largest amount ever paid for a US professional sports team.
Ostrover had already sold part of his stake last year and is offloading the remainder now, one of the people said.
Blue Owl's leaders have seen their wealth decline as shares of the private-credit focused money manager have dropped more than 60% from a January 2025 high.
