OSI Systems secures $15 million US government inspection contract

OSI Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: OSIS) received a $15 million task order from a U.S. government customer for cargo and vehicle inspection systems and related services, the company announced.
The Hawthorne, California-based company will provide inspection systems through its Security division. The contract scope includes follow-on service and support for the equipment.
"This award underscores continued confidence in our inspection solutions and our ability to execute complex programs from deployment through sustained operations," said Ajay Mehra, OSI Systems' president and CEO. "We are proud to support critical mission requirements with proven technologies backed by our lifecycle maintenance and services."
OSI Systems operates through three business segments: Security, Optoelectronics and Manufacturing, and Healthcare. The Security division provides inspection systems, screening solutions, and support services. The company serves customers in over 170 countries.
