Laser Photonics names Roman Franklin as chief financial officer
Laser Photonics Corporation (NASDAQ: LASE) appointed Roman Franklin as chief financial officer and principal financial officer, the company announced.
Franklin brings more than 20 years of finance and operations experience across public and private companies. He founded and leads The CFO Portal, LLC, a Florida-based firm that provides strategic accounting services for microcap public companies and private companies preparing for public markets. His services include SEC reporting, material weakness remediation, audit management and capital markets readiness.
Franklin currently serves as chief financial officer of the Diocese of Central Florida, where he oversees accounting, financial reporting and employee benefits administration while managing more than $100 million in trust, endowment and real estate assets. He previously held executive positions at Simplicity Esports and Gaming Company and founded Franklin Financial Planning, a registered investment advisory firm.
Franklin holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Management from Stetson University and a Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies from Barry University. He has been quoted in financial publications including Bloomberg Businessweek, The Wall Street Journal, Barron's and InvestmentNews.

Franklin stated he sees opportunity to strengthen the company's financial infrastructure and enhance reporting processes as the business grows.
