IP Strategy Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: IPST) announced that Poseidon has launched Numo, a mobile application designed to collect rights-cleared training data for artificial intelligence systems. The app allows users to contribute real-world data through voice recordings across underrepresented languages.
Numo has attracted more than 15,000 contributors who generated over 170,000 voice recordings in less than a week across four languages, according to the company statement. Each contribution is verified and licensed through Story blockchain technology to ensure commercial usability and transparent ownership.
The application addresses what the company describes as a growing supply constraint in the AI industry. While early AI systems used publicly available datasets, newer systems require data that reflects real-world human speech and behavior patterns.
The platform builds on Poseidon's previous data collection efforts that demonstrated the ability to generate large volumes of distributed, human-sourced data. Additional languages and data collection tasks are expected to be introduced in the near term.
IP Strategy operates as a validator for the Story Blockchain and holds $IP tokens as a primary reserve asset. The company provides public market exposure to what it terms the programmable intellectual property economy.
Story is a blockchain network that enables on-chain registration, licensing, and monetization of intellectual property. The network launched its mainnet in February 2025 and is backed by $136 million from investors including a16z crypto, Polychain Capital, and Samsung Ventures.
