Twin Vee PowerCats receives second order for 400 GFX2 catamaran
Twin Vee PowerCats Co. (NASDAQ: VEEE) announced that Exuma Water Sports has ordered a second custom-built 400 GFX2 power catamaran. The Bahamas-based tour operator previously received delivery of its first vessel earlier this year.
Exuma Water Sports operates tours in the Exuma region, including snorkeling at Thunderball Grotto and visits to see the Swimming Pigs of the Exuma Cays. The company provides marine transport services in what the press release describes as a growing luxury tourism market.
"Securing a repeat order from Exuma Water Sports is exactly what validates our platform," said Joseph Visconti, CEO, President, and Interim CFO of Twin Vee PowerCats Co. "When an operator running at the highest level in one of the most demanding and fastest-growing luxury markets in the world comes back for a second 400 GFX2, that tells you everything."
Justin Lightbourn, President of Exuma Water Sports, stated that the first 400 GFX2 "has been a complete game changer for our operation." He cited the vessel's ride quality, stability, and capacity as factors in the decision to order a second unit.
The second 400 GFX2 is being built specifically for Exuma Water Sports' tour operations and is designed for daily commercial use. Twin Vee manufactures boats under the Twin Vee and Bahama Boats brands and is based in Fort Pierce, Florida.
The company stated it plans to continue positioning the 400 GFX2 platform for commercial operators in luxury destinations, according to the press release.
