Benjamin Moore creates two UK subsidiaries for expansion
Benjamin Moore announced the formation of two wholly owned subsidiaries in the United Kingdom. BM Prudhoe Limited was incorporated in England and C&R Scotland Limited in Scotland, marking the paint company's second subsidiary in England and first in Scotland.
BM Prudhoe Limited entered into an agreement to acquire a manufacturing facility in Northern England from Horizon Products. The acquisition aims to expand manufacturing capacity and improve supply chain stability in the region.
C&R Scotland Limited entered into a conditional agreement to acquire the Craig & Rose brand. The heritage paint brand was established in Scotland in 1829 and will join Benjamin Moore's portfolio to serve premium residential contractors, architecture and design professionals, and consumers in the UK market.
"The formation of BM Prudhoe and C&R Scotland Limited are two pivotal advancements in our strategic global expansion," said Dan Calkins, Chairman and CEO of Benjamin Moore. "Strengthening our manufacturing and distribution capacity in the UK market and surrounding regions ensures the long-term growth of our business and enables us to meet the growing demand for premium paints and colors from professional end-users and homeowners alike."
Benjamin Moore, a Berkshire Hathaway company founded in 1883, manufactures premium residential and commercial coatings. The company operates through more than 8,500 locally owned paint, decorating and hardware retailers across the United States, Canada and 74 other countries.
The information is based on a company press release.
