Wolfspeed names two executives to strengthen legal and communications roles

Wolfspeed Inc. (NYSE: WOLF) announced two executive appointments to support its operations and stakeholder engagement, according to a company statement.
Brad Kohn will return to the silicon carbide technology company as Executive Vice President, Chief Legal and Global Affairs Officer, effective May 11, 2026. Kohn will oversee legal, compliance, government affairs, and public-policy engagement functions.
Kohn brings more than 20 years of experience as general counsel across multiple public companies, including previous service at Wolfspeed, Martin Marietta Materials and MEMC Electronic Materials, now part of GlobalWafers.
Sonja Burfeind has been appointed Vice President, Communications, effective July 1, 2026. She will lead the company's global communications strategy, including public relations and sales and marketing communications.
Burfeind has more than 20 years of experience in brand reputation across technology, automotive, consumer, and media industries. She most recently held senior communications leadership roles at Infineon.
"These appointments reflect our continued investment in leadership that enhances Wolfspeed's ability to engage effectively with customers, shareholders, and policymakers," said Robert Feurle, Chief Executive Officer of Wolfspeed.
The Durham, North Carolina-based company develops silicon carbide technologies for semiconductor applications.
