Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) received a five-year, $869 million contract from the U.S. Army to develop systems that enhance military decision-making capabilities across multiple operational domains.
The MACRO (Mission Awareness Capabilities Ramp-up and Optimization) II contract involves designing, building and integrating secure systems using artificial intelligence, advanced networking and modular open architecture. The systems are intended to help military personnel make decisions across electromagnetic spectrum and land, sea, air, space and cyber domains.
"This program is designed to help the joint force turn growing volumes of data into clear, operationally relevant insight, with the goal of enabling warfighters to understand the battlefield and act faster than the enemy," said Chad Haferbier, Leidos senior vice president of decision advantage.
The contract aligns with elements of Leidos' NorthStar 2030 strategy, which emphasizes decision advantage through digital modernization, developing mission software and supporting evolving warfighter requirements.
Leidos, headquartered in Reston, Virginia, employs more than 50,000 people globally and reported annual revenues of approximately $17.2 billion for the fiscal year ended January 2, 2026. The company provides digital and mission solutions to government and commercial customers.
The information is based on a company press release statement.
