Myomo Inc. (NYSE American: MYO) announced the launch of the Myomo Mobile App, a digital tool designed to support clinicians and patients using the company's MyoPro upper-limb orthosis devices.
The app provides clinicians with a mobile interface for customizing electromyography settings remotely or in person, including gain, threshold, range of motion and advanced configurations. Clinicians can also monitor patient usage and device settings to support follow-up care management.
For patients, the app offers real-time visibility into muscle activity during device use, allowing users to view EMG signals and track repetitions. The app includes visualizations that mirror device movement and display operating modes to help patients understand how the MyoPro responds to muscle activity. Users can also access training materials and support resources through the app.
"For clinicians, the Myomo Mobile App is designed to simplify device configuration and improve visibility into patient use, whether care is delivered in clinic or remotely," said Paul R. Gudonis, Myomo's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "For patients, the app helps make muscle activity more understandable and encourages confidence through real-time feedback and easy access to training resources."
The Burlington, Massachusetts-based company develops wearable medical robotics for people with neurological disorders and upper-limb paralysis. The MyoPro device is designed to restore arm and hand function for patients with conditions including stroke, brachial plexus injury, traumatic brain or spinal cord injury.
The Myomo Mobile App is available through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Supporting user manuals for clinicians, patients and caregivers are available on the company's website, according to the press release statement.
