B2Gold reports fire at Goose mine crushing circuit, no injuries

B2Gold Corp. (NYSE AMERICAN: BTG) reported a fire occurred in the crushing circuit at its Goose Mine on April 16. The company said the fire was extinguished by on-site emergency responders and no injuries were reported.
The Vancouver-based gold producer stated that mining operations continue as planned following the incident. B2Gold has contacted relevant regulatory authorities regarding the fire.
According to the company's initial assessment, the fire was confined to the secondary crusher screen and feed belt. B2Gold is investigating the cause of the fire and assessing potential damage and operational impact.
The company indicated it will provide additional updates as more information becomes available from its ongoing investigation and damage assessment.
B2Gold operates gold mines in Canada, Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, along with various development and exploration projects in multiple countries.
