Pakistani delegation expected to arrive in Iran today with U.S. messages
Investing.com -- A Pakistani delegation is expected to arrive in Iran today to deliver messages from the United States as part of ongoing diplomatic exchanges between Tehran and Washington, Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said.
The visit follows U.S.-Iranian talks hosted by Pakistan on Saturday. Baghaei said multiple messages have been exchanged since the Iranian delegation returned home from those discussions, according to state media reports from a weekly press conference.
The spokesperson said it is highly probable that Iran will host the Pakistani delegation on Wednesday as a continuation of the Pakistan talks.
The Saturday discussions covered a full end to war, lifting of sanctions, and compensation for damages from U.S.-Israeli attacks on Iran, Baghaei said.
Pakistan has been serving as an intermediary for communications between Tehran and Washington.
