Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) announced the launch of Fusion Agentic Applications for finance and supply chain operations on April 9. The applications use coordinated teams of AI agents designed to make and execute decisions within business processes.
The company released 12 new applications across Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning and Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing. These include Claims Settlement Workspace, Collectors Workspace, Cost Accounting Close Workspace, Design-to-Source Workspace, and Logistics Execution Command Center, among others.
"Finance and supply chain teams are under constant pressure to close faster, respond to disruptions sooner, and deliver more with the same resources," said Steve Miranda, executive vice president of Applications Development at Oracle. The applications aim to move beyond assistance to autonomous execution of routine work within established parameters.
The applications operate within Oracle Fusion Applications' existing security framework and can access enterprise data, workflows, policies, approval hierarchies, and permissions. They run on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and are powered by large language models.
Oracle also introduced the Agentic Applications Builder in Oracle AI Agent Studio, which allows organizations to build AI automation and agentic applications without traditional application development. The system includes observability, ROI measurement, and safety controls.
The announcement was made during Oracle's AI World Tour in New York. The applications are built into Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications and are designed to surface exceptions and decisions where human judgment affects outcomes.
