Flowers Foods chief supply chain officer to retire April 17

Flowers Foods Inc. (NYSE: FLO) announced that Tom Winters, chief supply chain officer, will retire from the company effective April 17. Winters joined the Flowers leadership team in 2022 and has served in the role for four years.

The company stated that a search for Winters' successor is currently underway. Heeth Varnedoe, president and chief operating officer, said Winters "has not only been integral in forging a stronger, more agile supply chain for Flowers, he is revered across the industry by his peers and team members alike."

Before joining Flowers Foods, Winters held leadership positions at PepsiCo and Procter & Gamble. His most recent role prior to Flowers was senior vice president of supply chain for PepsiCo's North American Beverages and Nutrition divisions.

Flowers Foods, headquartered in Thomasville, Georgia, is one of the largest producers of packaged bakery foods in the United States. The company reported net sales of $5.3 billion in 2025 and operates bakeries across the country. Its brands include Nature's Own, Dave's Killer Bread, Canyon Bakehouse, Simple Mills, Wonder, and Tastykake.
