3 E Network begins construction on Finland AI data center project
3 E Network Technology Group Limited (NASDAQ: MASK) announced that construction has begun on its AI data center project in Finland following receipt of building permits. The company reported that site clearance has been completed and earthworks are underway at the Mikkeli location.
Tree felling and site preparation activities have concluded, according to the company's statement. Excavation equipment has been deployed and grading operations have commenced as part of the earthworks phase. The project involves a long-term land lease agreement between 3 E Network and the city of Mikkeli.
The initial phase is planned to include a 6MW computing facility, though the company noted this remains subject to development and implementation requirements. 3 E Network stated that procurement and prefabrication of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems are proceeding in parallel with the construction activities.
The company indicated it is coordinating the installation of prefabricated modular data center units as part of the construction approach. Site clearance and earthworks are being conducted in accordance with local environmental regulations through partnerships with local contractors.
"We are pleased to see the Finland AI data center project move from the planning stage into the construction phase," said Dr. Tingjun Yang, CEO of 3 E Network. "Following the approval of the building permit, on-site work has commenced, including site clearance and earthworks."
3 E Network describes itself as a business-to-business IT solutions provider focused on becoming an AI infrastructure solutions provider. The company operates data center services and software development portfolios.
