BP plc (NYSE: BP) appointed Carol Howle as deputy chief executive, the company announced Thursday. Howle will oversee the company's portfolio review and strategy development in her new role.
Howle previously served as interim chief executive before Meg O'Neill assumed the top position Wednesday. She will also return to her former role as head of supply, trading and shipping.
