US Antimony restarts Montana mining operations earlier than expected

United States Antimony Corporation (NYSE: UAMY) announced it has restarted mining operations at its Stibnite Hill property in Thompson Falls, Montana. The company had suspended operations in November due to winter weather conditions.

The restart occurred earlier than anticipated due to milder winter weather and minimal snowfall in Montana, according to the company's statement. Operations typically resume later in the season following winter shutdowns.

During the 2025 mining season, US Antimony moved more than 800 tons of antimony ore from the mountain site to its Radersburg Flotation Facility for processing over a two-month period. The processed antimony concentrate is then transported to the company's smelter in Thompson Falls to produce finished products.

For the 2026 mining program, the company plans to implement new procedures including using chippers to process smaller brush and branches into mulch for concurrent reclamation efforts. The company will also establish GPS transmitter base stations on adjacent mountain tops to enable more accurate mapping and recording of antimony vein intercepts.

US Antimony describes itself as a producer and processor of antimony, zeolite, and other critical minerals. The company operates facilities in Montana, Mexico, and Idaho, mining and processing ore into antimony oxide, antimony metal, and antimony trisulfide products.

The company has been acquiring mining claims and properties in Alaska, Montana, and Ontario, Canada since 2024 to reduce third-party antimony ore purchase costs and expand product offerings.
