Kite Realty promotes Heath Fear to president and CFO

Kite Realty Group (NYSE: KRG) announced Heath R. Fear has been promoted to president and chief financial officer from his previous role as executive vice president and CFO. Fear will continue to report to Chairman and CEO John A. Kite, while Thomas K. McGowan remains president and chief operating officer.
Fear joined the Indianapolis-based real estate investment trust in 2018. In his expanded role, he will oversee the company's financial initiatives, investment strategy, joint venture relationships, and portfolio quality improvements.
"Heath has played a critical role in shaping our strategy, strengthening our balance sheet, and driving disciplined capital allocation across the organization," Kite said in a statement. "This promotion reflects the tremendous impact he has had across the Company and our confidence in his ability to help lead Kite's next chapter."
Kite Realty Group owns and operates open-air shopping centers and mixed-use destinations, with properties concentrated in Sun Belt and gateway markets. As of December 31, 2025, the company owned interests in 169 U.S. properties comprising approximately 27.3 million square feet of gross leasable space.
The REIT has been publicly traded since 2004 and focuses on developing, operating, and investing in retail real estate properties.
