Raymond James Financial (NYSE: RJF) announced Kirk Bell has been named president of its Independent Contractor Division, effective April 1. Bell, who has served as division director for the unit, will join the company's Senior Leadership Team and the Private Client Group's Executive Leadership Team.
Bell has worked at Raymond James for nearly 26 years. In his new role, he will lead efforts to strengthen advisor partnerships and support the division's growth initiatives.
"Over his nearly 26 years with the firm, Kirk has embodied Raymond James' culture and values and consistently led from a people-first approach," said Private Client Group President Tash Elwyn in the company's announcement.
Bell replaces Shannon Reid, who resigned in December after nearly two decades with the firm to pursue another opportunity.
"Supporting and providing guidance to independent advisors has long been a passion of mine, and I'm honored to be selected as president of ICD," Bell said.
The company also announced that RJFS Interim President and Division Director David Sisemore will continue his divisional leadership role through fiscal year end, then serve in a consulting capacity until his planned retirement in December.
Raymond James Financial is a diversified financial services company with $1.80 trillion in total client assets. The company provides services including private client group, capital markets, asset management and banking to individuals, corporations and municipalities.
