Celanese raises prices on acetyl products globally

Celanese Corporation (NYSE: CE) announced price increases for acetyl products effective immediately or as contracts allow, according to a company statement.
The specialty materials and chemical company set price increases across multiple product categories in the Americas, Mexico, South America, and Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. Vinyl acetate monomer will see increases of $0.25 per pound in the Americas, $500 per metric ton in Mexico and South America, and €800 per metric ton in EMEA.
Acetic acid prices will rise by $0.10 per pound in the Americas, $200 per metric ton in Mexico and South America, and €200 per metric ton in EMEA. Ethyl acetate increases are set at $0.20 per pound in the Americas, $200 per metric ton in Mexico and South America, and €800 per metric ton in EMEA.
Other products facing increases include acetic anhydride, various vinyl acetate-based dispersions, EVA and LDPE polymers, formaldehyde products, and specialty solvents. Price adjustments for solvents will depend on specific grades.
The Dallas-based company reported 2025 net sales of $9.5 billion and employs more than 11,000 people worldwide.
