TRANSTEX announced the acquisition of FleetAero assets from Knight-Swift Transportation Holdings Inc. (NYSE: KNX) through an asset purchase transaction. The Nashville-based cleantech company also established a long-term partnership with Knight-Swift focused on fleet performance and technology validation.
The acquisition expands TRANSTEX's aerodynamic technology platform as the company builds its portfolio of fleet-efficiency technologies in North America. TRANSTEX specializes in trailer aerodynamics, electric Auxiliary Power Units, and advanced thermoplastic composites with over 20 years of experience in the transportation sector.
The partnership agreement aims to advance fleet performance, accelerate technology validation, and drive innovation aligned with fuel-efficiency and emissions-reduction objectives. Knight-Swift operates as one of North America's largest freight transportation companies, offering truckload transportation, logistics, and less-than-truckload services across the United States and Mexico.
"This acquisition strengthens our position as a leading fleet-efficiency partner," said Mathieu Desjardins, President of TRANSTEX. The company stated the partnership will allow acceleration of innovation and validation of technologies in real-world environments.
Dave Williams, Senior Vice President of Equipment and Governmental Relations at Knight-Swift, said fleet efficiency represents a core priority for the company. He noted TRANSTEX's demonstrated ability to deliver solutions that perform in demanding operational conditions.
The transaction supports TRANSTEX's strategy to provide integrated fleet-efficiency solutions as transportation companies face pressure to reduce operating costs and meet emissions standards. The information comes from a company press release statement.
