Snow Lake Resources changes name to Frontier Nuclear and Minerals
The company said the name change reflects its strategic transformation into a nuclear fuel cycle company. Snow Lake has expanded its operations across multiple sectors including uranium exploration, enrichment technology, and small modular reactors.
"The renaming of our company is another milestone in our strategic transformation and more accurately reflects the ongoing development of our business across multiple sectors of the nuclear fuel cycle," said Frank Wheatley, CEO.
The company recently acquired Global Uranium and Enrichment Limited, providing access to uranium resources in the U.S. and the Pine Ridge uranium project in Wyoming's Powder River Basin. Snow Lake also holds interests in uranium projects in Colorado.
Snow Lake is the largest shareholder of Ubaryon Pty Ltd, which develops uranium enrichment technology, with Urenco Limited as the second largest shareholder. The company has also invested in Kadmos Energy Services LLC, which develops small modular light water reactors.
The company plans to spin off its lithium assets into a separate entity in the coming months. The spin-off is intended to allow focused management of both the nuclear and lithium businesses separately.
Snow Lake's common shares will continue trading on Nasdaq under the new symbol "FNUC" with CUSIP number 359134103. No action is required by shareholders regarding the name or symbol changes.
The company's 2026 priorities include advancing U.S. uranium projects, supporting Ubaryon's enrichment technology development, assisting Kadmos Energy's reactor deployment, and evaluating additional nuclear fuel cycle opportunities.
The lithium asset spin-off remains subject to regulatory approvals and board conditions, according to the company's statement.
