Astronics wins Boeing contract for 737 MAX fuel tank access doors

Astronics Corporation (NASDAQ: ATRO) announced it has been selected by Boeing to supply fuel tank access doors for the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft program, according to a company press release.
The East Aurora, New York-based aerospace technology provider will manufacture the doors at its facility in Clackamas, Oregon. The facility produces aircraft passenger service units, environmental controls, and other technical products.
"We have a long-standing, valued partnership with Boeing, and we are excited to support the 737 MAX program with the addition of fuel tank access doors to our current offerings," said Nick Stevenson, President at Astronics PECO.
The Oregon facility houses design engineering, qualification capabilities, and manufacturing operations that include injection molding, die-casting, CNC machining, and NADCAP-accredited bonding and finishing processes.
Astronics provides power, connectivity, lighting, structures, interiors, and test technologies to aerospace, defense, and other industries. The company has operated for over 50 years, serving airframe manufacturers, airlines, militaries, and completion centers globally.
