LegalZoom.com (NASDAQ: LZ) announced the launch of its application within ChatGPT, providing users with business formation guidance backed by attorney expertise, according to a press release statement.
The application allows ChatGPT users to receive personalized guidance on business structure selection and formation processes. Users can describe their business formation needs in conversational language and receive explanations about different entity types including LLCs, corporations, nonprofits, and sole proprietorships.
The app draws from LegalZoom's library of attorney-approved information to help users understand their options for business formation. For LLC formations specifically, the application provides state-specific checklists covering business name requirements, registered agents, filings, and employer identification numbers.
"We recognize that more entrepreneurs and small business owners are turning to AI to validate business ideas, and this app ensures LegalZoom meets them at that moment to help them get started," said Jeff Stibel, Chairman and CEO of LegalZoom.
The application also presents LegalZoom's service packages, allowing users to compare features and understand how the company can assist with filings and ongoing compliance requirements. Users can connect to LegalZoom services and independent attorneys through the ChatGPT interface when ready to proceed with business formation.
LegalZoom operates as an online legal services platform serving individuals and small businesses. The company has served millions of customers over two decades of operation.
