The Ensign Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENSG) acquired four skilled nursing facilities across Arizona, Kansas, and Colorado, effective December 1, 2025, according to a company statement.
The acquisitions include Santa Rosa Care Center, a 144-bed facility in Tucson, Arizona, under a long-term triple net lease arrangement. In Kansas City, Kansas, Ensign acquired both the real estate and operations of Willow Point Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a 45-bed facility. The real estate was purchased by Standard Bearer Healthcare REIT, Inc., Ensign's real estate subsidiary, while operations were leased to an Ensign-affiliated operator.
In Colorado, the company acquired operations of two facilities: The Rehabilitation Center at Sandalwood, a 103-bed facility in Wheat Ridge, and Edgewater Health and Rehabilitation, a 69-bed facility in Lakewood. Both Colorado facilities operate under long-term triple net leases with Ensign-affiliated operators.
"We are excited to add another operation to one of our more mature and thriving markets," said Barry Port, Ensign's Chief Executive Officer, referring to the Tucson acquisition.
The acquisitions expand Ensign's portfolio to 373 healthcare operations, including 47 senior living operations, across 17 states. Ensign subsidiaries own 156 real estate assets.
The Ensign Group provides skilled nursing and senior living services, along with physical, occupational and speech therapies through independent operating subsidiaries in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin.
