RingCentral names Vaibhav Agarwal as chief financial officer

RingCentral Inc. (NYSE: RNG) appointed Vaibhav Agarwal as chief financial officer, effective immediately, according to a company statement.

Agarwal, who joined RingCentral in 2016, succeeds Abhey Lamba, who will serve as an executive advisor through the end of the year. The new CFO will oversee financial planning, controllership, tax, treasury, corporate development and investor relations.

During his nine-year tenure at the company, Agarwal held positions including chief accounting officer, chief transformation officer and deputy chief financial officer. He was part of the leadership team as the company grew from $400 million to a $2.6 billion run-rate business.

"His deep understanding of our business and proven financial leadership sets us up well for our next phase of profitable growth," said Vlad Shmunis, founder, chairman and CEO of RingCentral.

Before joining RingCentral, Agarwal held senior finance roles at Intel Corporation, Altera, Intuitive Surgical and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds an MBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a chartered accountant from India.
