Trump to announce $70 billion in AI and energy investments

Investing.com -- President Donald Trump will announce $70 billion in artificial intelligence and energy investments in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, as part of White House efforts to accelerate development of emerging technology, according to a Bloomberg report on Monday.
Trump will reveal details of these new initiatives at an event near Pittsburgh, where he will be joined by Republican Senator David McCormick (NYSE: MKC), who is hosting the first Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit at Carnegie Mellon University.
The investments from various companies will include new data centers, power generation expansion, grid infrastructure upgrades, AI training programs, and apprenticeships.
The summit is expected to draw around 60 executives from the AI and energy sectors. Notable attendees include BlackRock Inc (NYSE: BLK).’s Larry Fink, Palantir Technologies Inc (NASDAQ: PLTR).’s Alex Karp, Anthropic’s Dario Amodei, Exxon Mobil Corp (NYSE: XOM).’s Darren Woods, and Chevron Corp. (NYSE: CVX)’s Mike Wirth.
