Truist Securities analyst William S. Stein lowered the price target on NXP Semiconductors NV (NASDAQ: NXPI) to $230.00 (from $258.00) while maintaining a Buy rating.
The analyst comments "CEO departure & mixed tariff-vs-cycle dynamics drive stock vol, but we see NXP's fundamentals as intact. NXP beat Q1 modestly and guided Q2 ~inline. Two concerns are driving stock weakness that we believe will be temporary: (1) The surprise retirement of NXP's successful and effective CEO Kurt Sievers; and (2) the cyclical recovery that is discussed as offsetting tariffs, but is not easily visible in NXP's guidance. We reason through both challenges. Our CY26E EPS goes to $14.81 (from $14.72). PT to $230 (from $258) based on 15.5x (4x disc. to recently-cheaper peers). We believe investor interactions will be the catalyst for a near-term recovery; maintain Buy."
