EU Investigators to Inspect China's BYD, Geely and SAIC in EV Probe - Reuters
- European Commission investigators to inspect Chinese automakers in the coming weeks to decide whether to impose punitive tariffs to protect EU's own EV makers.
- The inspectors will visit BYD, Geely and SAIC.
- Inspectors will not visit non-Chinese companies manufacturing in China, such as Tesla.
- The probe seeks to determine whether Chinese-made EVs benefit unfairly from state subsidies.
