American Airlines (AAL) Tops Q4 EPS by 34c, FY23 EPS Guidance Tops Views

American Airlines (NASDAQ: AAL) reported Q4 EPS of $1.17, $0.34 better than the analyst estimate of $0.83. Revenue for the quarter came in at $13.2 billion versus the consensus estimate of $12.88 billion.

GUIDANCE:

American Airlines sees FY2023 EPS of $2.50-$3.50, versus the consensus of $1.89.

• Based on demand trends and the current fuel price forecast and excluding the impact of special items, the company expects its first-quarter 2023 adjusted earnings per diluted share3 to be approximately breakeven. Based on today’s guidance, American expects its full-year 2023 adjusted earnings per diluted share3 to be between $2.50 and $3.50
