Biogen (BIIB) Misses Q4 EPS by 1c, ADUHELM Sales Just $1 Million ; Lowers FY Guidance

Biogen (NASDAQ: BIIB) reported Q4 EPS of $3.39, $0.01 worse than the analyst estimate of $3.40. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.73 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.62 billion.

ADUHELM revenue was $1 million.

“Biogen continued to execute well in the fourth quarter despite the challenges we have faced,” said Michel Vounatsos, Biogen's Chief Executive Officer. “We have introduced the first FDA approved treatment for Alzheimer’s disease in nearly 20 years, and we are engaging with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services with the hope of finding a path for immediate patient access.”

GUIDANCE:

Biogen sees FY2022 EPS of $14.25-$16.00, versus the consensus of $19.18. Biogen sees FY2022 revenue of $9.7-10 billion, versus the consensus of $10.87 billion.
