Baxter (BAX) Tops Q4 EPS by 4c, Offers Guidance

Baxter (NYSE: BAX) reported Q4 EPS of $0.80, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.76. Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.2 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.04 billion.

GUIDANCE:

Baxter sees FY2021 EPS of $3.35-$3.43, versus the consensus of $3.48.

• Baxter expects sales growth of 7% to 8% on a reported basis and 4% to 5% on a constant currency basis. The company expects U.S. GAAP earnings of $2.91 to $2.99 per diluted share and adjusted earnings, before special items, of $3.35 to $3.43 per diluted share.

Baxter sees Q1 2021 EPS of $0.63-$0.65, versus the consensus of $0.72.

• The company expects sales growth of approximately 3% on a reported basis and sales to decline low single digits on a constant currency basis. The company expects U.S. GAAP earnings of $0.53 to $0.55 per diluted share and adjusted earnings, before special items, of $0.63 to $0.65 per diluted share.
